The March Program was with Helen Smith of The Humble Fllower Shop, Floral Arranging
We had a wonderful meeting with Helen Smith of the Humble Flower Shop. Helen has returned to us every year since our first program with her several years ago. We each brought vases and some of our favorite flowers and foliage. Helen provided many lovely varieties of flowers and vases as well as new trends in flower arranging. We celebrated Helen's birthday as well. Pat made beautiful birthday cake and showed off her newly learned cake decorating skills. We each had a beautifully constructed arrangement to take home with us.
Arbor Day Cellebration
The annual Arbor Day Celebration was held on Tuesday, March 1st at 9:30 a.m. at the Humble ISD Instructional Support Center, located at 4810 Magnolia Cove Drive. We planted a beautiful magnolia on the grounds of the Center. Norma’s husband along with the facilities director, J.C. Evans, will assist with the proper planting of the tree, staking of the trunk and mulching. Club membership involvement as well as invited guests from the community helped to make this an exceptional Arbor Day.
